Anna Silk

Anna Silk, born January 31st 1974, in Fredericton New Brunswick Canada is an actress most well-known for her role as Bo in The Showcase program Lost Girl. Silk is a character from Fredericton New Brunswick Canada. The daughter of Peter an academic as well as Ilkay Silk who is an accomplished performer, actress, and playwright and Director of Drama at St. Thomas University. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. Anna was a child and watched her mother in the office and attending her play rehearsals. Silk appeared in several commercials in her early years as just a child. She graduated with a Bachelor's in Arts at St. Thomas University in 1997. Theatre St. Thomas produced two of its first productions: Seven Menus, and The Kitchen. Silk made the move to Toronto in Canada, which was the beginning of the month of November 1999. After that, she relocated into Los Angeles California during the period of the following decade. Seth Cooperman was her future partner when she first met him in 2007 at the Actors' Workshop located in Los Angeles. They were engaged in 2009, and were married during a civil ceremony December of that year. In April of 2011, they renewed their vows in an Jewish ritual in Fredericton after Silk converted to Judaism. Silk was blessed with one son Samuel Jerome Cooperman in May 2013. Levi Aaron, her second daughter was born on the 13th of May in 2016. Silk is best known for her part on TV in the role of Cassidy Holland, in Being Erica. In 2009, she received nominations from the Gemini Awards. In 2009, she was cast as the lead character Bo Dennis in Lost Girl. Silk fell pregnant while shooting the final episode of season three. On January 6, 2013, she confirmed this to viewers in Showcase's Season Three Pre-Show Special. On June 4 2013 Showcase and Prodigy Pictures announced the start of production on the fourth season and on June 20 2013 Silk posted on Twitter that she was getting ready to go back for work on the show. Her portrayal of Bo and Lauren (Zoie Palmer) as lovers with the same gender on Lost Girl was named one of the most popular Television Couples by CNN (Cable News Network) as well as named the top Television Couple in the year 2013 by E! Entertainment Television. Silk is one of the most popular shows on the social networks.
